| Ignoring that FromSoftware has been remaking the same game since 1986, Bloodborne stands as a truly masterful experience. Featuring a dark Lovecraft inspired world, an intense “trick weapon” combat system, infinite chalice dungeon crawl, and of course, plenty of gore. Many players will find Bloodborne so difficult that the only path to progress is memorizing enemy positions, animations, and AI; effectivly the entire game. This difficulty is maintained at high levels by having character RPG elements heavily plateau. A DLC expansion, The Old Hunters, released the same year greatly expanded the available combat arsenal. | |||||
